My Favorite Things

Consider this my version of Oprah’s Favorite Things. ‘Cept, I’m not rich like her and can’t afford to give away all my goodies (that is, until I become famous).

  1. Tide To Go – I am a klutz and a slob, so spilling food on me is a given. And that’s not a good combination when you’re working in a white-collar world. I was very skeptical about this after watching stations miraculously disappear on its commercial, but it really does work – and almost just as fast.
  2. Downey Wrinkle Releaser – Next in the line of laundry products is this gem. I hate ironing, so this was a god-send in college. All you have to do is spray the wrinkle releaser on your clothes, pull the cloth around a bit and, voila, no more wrinkles! It’s not much use on getting wrinkles out of suits and shirts – the white collar products that I seem to spill a lot of food on – but it’s great for everyday items like t-shirts and jeans.
  3. CoverGirl Outlast Double LipShine – The lipstick stays on all day and doesn’t smudge. Although it’s not as good as a smiliar discontinued Clinique lipstick, it’s practically $20 cheaper – you just have to reapply the gloss more often.
  4. Spike Seasoning – This is the best seasoning ever, with 38 different herbs and spices – you’ll never need salt and pepper again. I use it on salads, meats, eggs… basically, it goes well with anything that needs seasoning.
  5. The Cheap Bastard’s Guide to New York City – Free drinks? Free food? Free classes? Cheap thrills? In New York City? Yes, it’s possible, and this book explains how. A must-have for any cheap bastard like myself.
  6. Latin For All Occassions – Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum viditur.
