Now I have a piece of paper that I can’t even read 😉

I’m going to have to send it to for translation.

I echo Jackie’s sentiments

Friday, May 20th, 2005

Jackie () was right. It feels very strange not practicing for graduation ceremonies. And thousands of students are supposed to line up a half an hour before the ceremony starts! Are they crazy? ASJ made us line up at least an hour beforehand, with 55 girls! Jeez, Fordham really needs to take some notes on this graduation thingy 🙂

And I was completely amused by the fact last night that both ASJ and Fordham’s school songs include the phrase “hallowed halls.” My amusement bubble was popped when my mom told me that her high school’s song also contained the word “hallowed halls.” She says it a common phrase in any Catholic school’s school song. Well, psht. My hallowed halls are better than your hallowed halls!

Happy Birthday, Allicia!

An Ode to Allicia

There once was a girl named Allicia
She’s not Japenese or a geisha
She’s Chinese, yes it’s true
Not from Russia or Peru
Or the UK like that Barton named Mischa

If I used her Chinese name, things would rhyme better
But she never uses it, if you’ve ever met her
So I was forced to rack my brain
And felt a great big strain
Just to type that first verse’s letters

She was born on a Thursday in the year ’83
She has this great ability to hold lots of pee
Maybe it was like that ever since birth
But Wonder Bladder™ rocks this earth
You can usually find her in a room marked “Ladies”

I hear that today is her birthday
And the peasants rejoice ::horray!::
She’s turned twenty-two
Oh, what shall she do?
She’s soon gonna be old and gray

If I had the money, to her these gifts I’d bring
Skittles, designer shoes, a purse and a diamond ring
Cookies and candies galore
A hunk carrying even more
Then to Allicia “Happy Birthday” we’d sing

If I were in Beantown, I’d bring chocolate cake
But I’m not, so this is all I can make
This ode to my friend
Now must come to an end
Happy Birthday, for goodness sake!

The Formidable Five

Wednesday, May 4th, 2005

I consider myself a people watcher. I’ll sit in a park, on a subway train, in class or on the street, just observing everyone and everything they do. I’m usually good at understanding why people are the way they are and the reasons for their actions. Whether I agree with them or not, it’s always fun to nitpick on them. However, five people in our society absolutely baffle me. No matter how long I observe them or ponder what they do, I’ll never figure them out. (more…)

Amusing, since I really don’t drink and don’t know much about alcohol

Bourbon
Congratulations! You’re 130 proof, with specific scores in beer (60) , wine (116), and liquor (78).
Screw all that namby-pamby chick stuff, you’re going straight for the bottle and a shot glass! It’ll take more than a few shots of Wild Turkey or 99 Bananas before you start seeing pink elephants. You know how to handle your alcohol, and yourself at parties.

My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:
